Express Burn allows performing various operations that involve discs. In this regard, the program supports various disc types: CD, DVD, and BD. Likewise, it covers all the combinations, like audio CDs, data DVDs, MP3 CDs, Video DVDs and Data BD, to mention but some. The tool has one of the most straightforward interfaces you can possibly find in a program of this kind. There are separate tabs for each type of job, and what is more, Express Burn asks you what you intend to do so that you do not even have to look for the appropriate option. This makes it suitable for any kind of user.
I am pleased to say that Express Burn supports not only burning to actual discs but also saving your compilation to a disc image file (ISO and IMG). Similarly, it can copy a disc to another or store it as an image, which contributes to preserving the physical integrity of the original disc. Also, the tool can erase rewritable discs. Besides, it can burn ISO files to disc; unfortunately, though, it does not support many image formats, such as those created by other similar programs.
Although it is good that the program is extremely light, I was bothered by its need to download additional components, as it is the case of the format converters needed to re-encode video or audio. By the way, I have to admit that a wide variety of these formats is luckily supported. Also related to media, the tool also has other convenient features, such as normalizing audio volume and allowing to configure video settings. more
