Burn multimedia and data files to CD, DVD, or Blu-Ray discs. Make MP3 CDs and Audio CDs from WAV, MP3, WMA, OGG, FLAC, and other music formats, adjust the volume and the pause between the tracks, and play on a CD player or in your car. Create DVD discs from AVI, MPG, VOB, WMW, MP4, OGM, and other video formats.
Developed to be used with your own content, Express Burn has been designed to make it easy for anyone to burn all types of discs with all kinds of data. You can produce your own data and ISO discs, audio CDs, MP3 discs, DVDs and BDs easily with this tool. It comes with templates for your DVD menus and support for all the most common audio and video formats.
Though capable of copying entire discs and to extract any content from unprotected standard DVDs and Blu-ray discs, Express Burn is not a tool designed to rip copyright-protected commercial discs. It does not include any decryption tool capable of breaking any of the existing anti-copy or region protection features that audio and video discs may come with, so it’s best used with content you produced yourself or that has gone into public domain already.
The program can create and burn audio and data CDs, MP3 CDs and DVDs, video and data DVDs, and video and data Blu-ray discs. You can create one-to-one exact copies of any disc, and turn them into ISO files if you wish that you can then store on your computer or burn to another recordable disc. Besides, video discs can be enhanced with menus and buttons to help you navigate their contents. The program offers you a set of tools and other features that are in fact other NCH utilities, which you need to download and install before using them.
As it happens with most – if not all – NCH tools, Express Burn makes available a specific version of the program that can be used for free at home on a not-for-profit basis. In this case, though, this version of the program is heavily limited to burning CDs only. Express Burn integrates easily with a number of other tools from this same developer and offers a command-line based environment to help you connect it to other programs and to automate certain processes. All of these features make the program’s commercial edition (also known as Plus edition) highly recommendable, though you can always start with the free version to get the hang of it.
